100% solid HDPE that meets tough quality specs

Our 100% solid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) panels are tough, strong and durable and won’t rot, crack, swell, delaminate or be affected by mildew or termites.  They can withstand continuous contact with fresh and saltwater and most corrosive chemicals that would corrode or destroy timber or metal.  All are suitable for commercial and industrial applications.  Our black and coloured sheeting is also UV-stabilised for long outdoor life.

Because our plastic is sold rather than foamed, it's better suited to machining and heat welding. The consistent thickness of our sheeting also makes it ideal for cutting, routing, drilling or machining into various shapes. Cut edges look the same as the sheet faces.

FAQ

See how our plastics behave under thermal stress to ensure the performance and integrity of your sheeting.

Coefficient of linear thermal expansion of HDPE :

0.12mm / m / degree C

A 2.4m long HDPE panel will change in length by about 12mm over a 40-degree temperature change, and its 1.2m width will change by 6mm.  The fixing holes in the sheet have to be oversized or elongated to allow the sheet to expand and contract freely with changes in temperature.

  • Don’t over-tighten the fasteners, as this will restrict movement and will cause the sheet to buckle.
  • Don’t position fasteners closer than 15mm from the edge of the sheet, and ensure that there’s a sufficient gap all around the fastener in the hole.

If the edge of the sheet breaks away at the fastener hole in the cold, then the hole was too small, or there wasn’t enough gap around the fastener.

If using one 2.4 x 1.2m sheet, leave a 6mm expansion gap all around between the edge of the sheet and any fixed object.  If multiple sheets are installed side by side, leave a 12mm expansion gap between sheets.

If the sheet buckles in the heat, loosen or reposition the fasteners or enlarge the holes in the sheet.

Standard sheet size tolerance is 2400+40/-0mm x 1200+20/-0mm, sheet squareness tolerance is within 5mm.

Sheet thickness tolerance is ±5% or +/-1mm, whichever is greater.

Please note : Sheet thickness can vary within the tolerance from corner to corner within one sheet.

We manufacture our panels in a range of colours, with either a smooth or textured surface finish.

We deliver Australia-wide (ex-works).  This means we arrange transportation, but you’re responsible for the cost and products once they leave our facility.

We make sheets using recycled HDPE only, we do not make sheets from other types of plastic (PVC, LLDPE, Polypropylene, etc.)

Our sheets are made from 100% post-industrial recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Our HDPE sheets are made to a standard size of 2440 x 1220 mm in size and are available in thickness range from 10mm to 30mm.

All sheets are waterproof and can be used in underwater applications.

The weight of sheets varies based on their thickness. Generally, for every millimeter of thickness, the weight increases by approximately 3 kilograms. For example, a 10-millimeter sheet would weigh around 30 kilograms.

Yes, our sheets are UV stabilised and can be used in outdoor applications, as they are HDPE plastic there will be a small degree of expansion with heat exposure.
